Shelters
When directed, the designated
shelters are:
Southwick Town
Offices (Location marked on map below
with a blue star)
454 College Highway (Routes 10 and 202)
Southwick-Tolland Regional High
School (Location marked on map below with a
red star)
93 Feeding Hills Road (Route 57)
This is per signed agreement between the
American Red Cross and the Town of Southwick
You should bring the following
items to the shelter:
- Blankets
- Sleeping Bags
- Pillows
- Clothing
- Medications
- Toys, Puzzles, Games, and Books
for entertainment
- Identification - Social Security
Cards, Birth Certificates, Drivers License, etc.
- Toiletries
- Baby Food and Supplies
- Money (Not required for the
shelter - but it's good to have available for other needs)
What You Cannot Bring To The Shelter:
- Weapons: including knives, guns,
martial arts weaponry, etc.
- Pets - make arrangements to have
pets cared for while your away. We're sorry, pets are not
allowed inside the shelter.
Please remember that shelter living is
not private. It is recommended that you leave your valuables
locked up, and not bring them with you to the shelter. You may be
living with dozens of other people, and be required to share
resources. Please be patient with the volunteer staff, they will be
doing their best to serve everyone.
