APPARATUS

Firemen’s Association’s

1924 Ahrens Fox N-S-4 Pumper

Originally purchased in 1924 by the city of Wilmington, DE Fire Department. This piston type pumper truck (reg # 1618 ) was in active service with the Wilmington Fire Department until sometime in the mid 1950's when it was briefly transferred to the water department for storm drain cleaning. After taken from service in the late 1960's the truck was then purchased by the Southwick Fireman's Association to be a parade unit. Since it's purchase, we have done extensive work to restore it.  The Fox pictured above is a similar unit.  Some more work is still needed to complete the restoration process. To date, this truck runs and pumps well and can be seen at numerous parades in southwestern MA and northwestern CT areas. We are also members of the Ahrens Fox Owners Association based in Webster Groves, Mo. If you would like to go directly to the Fox information center click here Fox Site. If you have questions about our Fox please contact the Southwick Fireman's Association.
